The BOK (Burnside Open Championchips). One of the oldest rollerblading contests in the Netherland, originally started as the Dutch Championchips until Skateland Rotterdam stole that title. This year it looks like Deventer struck back by hosting the BOK on the same day as the Streetmasters Contest in Rotterdam.Because the BOK is one of the oldest running contests, some traditions are born over the years.

1. Edwin vs. Adil.

Classic battle. Couldn’t be fought out, because mr. Wiering had to work and mr. Farhouni was injured. (Adil did a good job as a judge, by the way)

2. Berdy, best trick & worst slam.

Best trick went to Berdy. After 150 tries, he finally landed the impossible transfer from miniramp to rail. Davey (up & coming Burnside local) won worst slam by not doing a transfer and landing with his back on the stairs.

3. UH44 drinking in the front, crusty’s smoking in the back.

Check, Amnon and the rest of the UHcrew were poisoning themselves at the entrance.

4. Annual Apeldoorn rail session.

Steven Tonijn went durning the contest to the nearby city of Apeldoorn to skate the long rail.

5. May the best man win.
